United CEO resigns because of Bridgegate?
The chief executive and two senior officials of United Airlines resigned on Tuesday amid a federal investigation into whether the airline had traded favors with the chairman of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

The investigation of the flights to South Carolina is a somewhat unlikely outgrowth of the federal inquiry into the lane closings, a scandal that has already harmed Mr. Christie’s once-promising bid for the presidency.

This is going to play out like Wisconsin... Bunch of folks dead set on "getting the guy" are going to spin this off into many separate investigations and in the end few if any will turn something up.

Because the original intent of the investigation is forgotten and now they are just hoping to pin some wrongdoing on someone.

They are never going to get Christie on Bridgegate just like they are never going to get HIllary on Benghazi.

Isn't this about an airline exec bribing a port authority figure? What is the connection to Christie except other than the port authority figure?

This has nothing to do with Bridgegate. Although I suspect that Chris Matthews will dedicate his next ten shows to "exploring" the connection.

You just don't get the role of oversight do you?

no one set out to "get" anyone, they set out to find out WTF happened to an American Ambassador and Security guys shot down in a foreign country. The People have EVERY right to know what happened as well. They work for us.

Should the Congress just give up their co-equal status? Cede further power to the Executive branch because "what difference does it make"?

The fact that this deceit came out of this isn't anyone trying to pin something on someone, unless you believe she's intentionally trying to sabotage her own campaign.

All self inflicted, no one made her set this whole thing up.
