Laviano Starting for WSU
Not a fan of this pick, given the state of things. If these guys were of equal caliber during training camp and Rettig is not getting suspended for curfews and fake ID's, I'd go with Rettig every time.

Oh, and he went 9-11 with a passing and rushing TD in the first half *without* Carroo.

I hope Laviano is on a short leash.

Gary Nova 2.0. Rettig was never given a fair shake.

What bothers me is the guy was caught with a fake ID, which shows he lacks the maturity to be a starting QB.

RE: Laviano Starting for WSU
I thought Rettig played better against Norfolk State. Didn't have Carroo to throw to but did a nice job spreading the ball around to the TEs, the backs and showed good arm strength.

I'm not going to stop rooting for Rutgers because of who the QB is, but I think we need someone at QB who is going to put up points, because teams like WSU and Indiana are gonna put up points on us.

If it was the 2012 defense we had back there, then maybe I'd think differently.
