The irony being that 40,000 isn't big. Typical Sun Belt Suck Train thinking that I've seen from the newcomers.

If we were WKU, I would agree that adding seats could have been spent better. Difference is that we nearly double in crowd support over what you average a game. I might add that we average more than you in basketball as well. Besides we have much bigger opponents coming into Huntington over the next few years with big crowds expected (Pitt, NC State, Louisville, Purdue etc)...something you have no idea about.

Care to show me where Marshall needed the extra seats...other than West Virgina? You didn't need them then, for Marshall fans...nope W Virgina had about 40% of the crowd. Before you embarrass yourself by saying other wise...check out the below pictures because 40% might be low

24,000 is your average other than the years W. Virgina brings about 20,000 of their fans...in a 38,000 seat stadium. Like I said there was no need to add seats and to be honest you should have just added temporary seats for W Virgina..it would have looked better than that rat trap of a "upgrade"

I see they didn't teach you math? 18,000 to 24,000 is not double and yeah, you're right Western wouldn't know about bigger opponents...Vandy of the SEC and Indiana of the Big 10 and South Florida when they played in the BigEast doesn't compare to those 4 . BTW that's in a program that's only been FBS for 7 years. That 38,000 would not have held the fans for our home game vs uk...45,000 year before last played in Nashville about a 50-50 split

Only negative was the fox sports announcers. Kept talking about "can Marshall shock Purdue," as if Marshall hadn't just gone 13-1 while PU went 3-9....

Went to a bunch of marshall games when I lived in Huntington. I don't remember it being closed in all the way around that high. Lotsa fun looks good

Well, Marshall shocked both the announcers and Perdio' (Spanish for Lost). I loved the game except for those two dumb fumbles by No. 47. It almost cost you the game.

Was out running errands and tuned in to the game on XM Radio. They had the Purdue broadcast going. You wanna talk about homers. They were talking about how Purdue was just toying with Marshall and that the difference in talent (in favor of Purdue) was so evident and dramatic. I made it home and watched the end on TV and wondered how much those two clowns were backtracking at the end. I'm betting not much.

Yes. I heard some of that XM too. They were just giving us the Purdue feed.

That stadium was rocking yesterday. Way to defend it Marshall.
