RE: Attendance
USF still needs to move forward with their own stadium...as their actual attendance wasn't even 22,000 last night in the 65,000 seat plus NFL stadium.

RE: Attendance
Pleasantly surprised by Memphis' attendance.
Temple and SMU got guaranteed sellouts with who they hosted. Very proud of Temple for getting that win so hopefully that support carries over to the next home game.
ECU and UCF are about where I expected, give or take a few thousand.
USF and UConn are surprisingly low. I know the teams have been bad the past couple of seasons, but I remember when both these programs had no problem getting 35k for anybody.
Houston.... No sell out, but here's some perspective... In our best years under Briles we couldn't hit 30k. When Okie Lite came to town, we couldn't hit 30k with Kolb running the show. Now in 2015, coming off a mediocre year, with no marquee players, to get 30k to watch us play a team most of us didn't know existed is something to note for long time supporters of this program. Hopefully it gets better.

Pretty good looking crowds for the games I caught parts of on TV (Temple, Tulsa, Memphis, SMU).

Seeing 39K next to UC means something to us....and that against an FCS team. Heck when I was a student at UC this type of game drew 16K...maybe.

Getting over 41,000 for a FCS opponent means Memphis is going to have solid attendance this season...Cincy and Ole Miss games should be packed

It's been more than a couple seasons... Regional conference rivals also helped energize the fanbase.

A lot. A lot for Temple too. I didn't watch long enough to guess percentages, but Temple had a good crowd. They were loud at the end!

From what I saw yesterday they are too trashed to get into the stadium. A girl sitting beside me said she'd been drunk and sobered up twice before making her way into the game. The guys on my right were obnoxiously drunk and were passing a flask until they left at halftime. I don't care what people do, but I was skeptical that some could make it down the steps.
It's really sad to me that some people seemingly can't have fun without getting drunk.

UC fans were traveling in huge numbers (5,000 plus) to West Virginia, Louisville, and Pitt during Big East days. I hope that trend picks up again with the Memphis game. The game is going to be a battle.

Our tailgating situation is now fantastic and only a block from one of the best BBQ places in Memphis (which, of course, makes it one of the best in the country!). Friend or foe, tailgating with Memphis folks is a blast!

PTI, but let's be real. Temples attendance is actually more of a reflection of the opponent than Temple fan interest.

What was any other teams "actual" attendance. Apples and Oranges. Either use all announced, or compare all actuals. Since all of the other AAC teams uses announced, then the apples to apples comparison is USF's announced attendance of 30K. I actually wish we knew everyone else's actuals, because it would be clear who was fluffing numbers and who wasn't (everyone fluffs to some degree, despite fans insistence to the contrary). It would also be a much better indicator of true attendance.

Agree. I'm traveling from about 400 miles one way to see it. IIRC, Memphis is now the closest AAC opponent, in miles, from Cincinnati. Hope to see a lot of you there!
If we go into that game undefeated, that place should be pretty close to packed, I hope (59K capacity).

We usually do not draw well on Labor Day Weekend and with the game being on TV against a team most ECU fans had never heard of I was not surprised to see 40K in the stands.
As long as we make the Florida game respectable and hopefully win at Navy then the VT game should be sold out or close to it. I would guess as long as we don't lose every game between now and Tulsa we should get 44K for Homecoming. Temple Thursday night game could be announced at 40K but more likely 30-35k fans in the stands USF Military weekend could bring 44k and Cincinnati being the last year it all depends on how the year went. If we shock everybody and are in contention for a AAC Championship then I would think 45K if we are not bowl eligible then I would say 30K
MoSt haven't heard of Towson? Weren't we in CAA with them?

I agree on the stadium.
I have no problem with people pointing out the actual USF attendance.
I just wish they would point out the obvious also. NO ONE ELSE in the AAC or the entire country for that matter has "actual" attendance given withe the announced by a local sports authority. No one. So the only apples to apples comparison is to use everyone's announced attendance. It's well documented, I could pull out many articles to this fact, than most programs in the country fluff numbers. Of course die hard fans will usually say, everyone else does it except my program, but usually that is not true and in fact is a lie. I've already documented articles to this fact in the past. Sourced ones.
It makes no sense to use apples to oranges comparisions. Either use all actuals or used all announced. Doing otherwise is disingenuous.

There was at least 45k in Memphis.
Around 50k in actual attendance makes sense based on eyewitness reports and my view of the LB via Internet feed.

IF UC and Memphis are both undefeated for that one...I suspect a large contingency of UC fans will make that trip. Not bowl game large, but 4-5K maybe.
