We are sure lucky the game was only one half. Think how many injuries we would have had if there had been a third or even a fourth quarter.

That was a crazy Saturday. I guess you guy's game got cancelled Thursday? Lsu's game cancelled, Georgia's was called with like 10 mins left in the fourth quarter all because of electricity from the sky.

Wow. Some not very smart people on that message board. Have a few saying that UT 'suspended' Hunt so that he doesn't get hurt vs. Ark and so that he is rested up for conference play. Another handful saying UT is only coming for the check. Typical $EC fan arrogance.

Hogville is the epicenter of stupid in the universe. Wildly entertaining though. There's some educated fans on there too though (I consider myself one).

Just like their former provost coming to UT to be our President so she could get paid. Believe it or not guys UT has a larger operating budget then Arkansas. Their budget is $485 million where's UT is about $950 million. Wikipedia is a good source for more info. There is no other game in the state so Arkansas is it for all intents and purposes with no pro sports so a huge advantage for them with athletics. It's not a very big school by any means, about the same size as UT. Our Health a Science campus puts the budget over the top with The UT Medical Center.

Proximity to Texas doesn't hurt either. Only about a third their roster is from Arkansas, though I imagine they've locked up the best players in the state.

Our budget is very low because we get generous (very generous) donations from boosters like the Walton family (Wal-Mart), Jerry Jones, Stephens Inc. We don't have to spend as much to get great facilities, and then you add in the SEC TV money and things...

There will be a gigantic party outside all day in and around the stadium. Usually 70k show up. There's free food a beer all over the place for the nice visiting fan. It's a shame we're both not going to have our best running backs in the game, but I expect an outstanding football game! Woo Pig Sooie!

We plan on tailgating on the golf course, couldn't tell for sure if the golf course opened at 6am or 7am? Will folks be lined up to get in? We will get there as early as need be.

The golf course is totally public and I doubt you'll have any problems going at 6 AM if you wanted to. They understand it's game day and it's a different atmosphere. As long as you have a ticket the lines aren't that bad, as the entire stadium is surrounded by gates. I've never waited more than 20 minutes to get in even during peak hours. The only problem is that after noon or so the traffic will be FUBAR so it's best to get there early. It's harder to park and get to the stadium than it is to actually get INTO the stadium.

Yeah with a state of only 3 million we've usually had to rely on Texas a lot and more recently Florida and Louisiana since Bielema has gotten here

Out - 2 starters (RB, DE) due to suspension
Out - TE Adam Kulon (ACL, out for year)
Out - CB Jordan Martin (leg)
Questionable - RB Terry Swanson
Questionable - CB Trevon Mathis
Questionable - LB Chase Murdock

So that's potentially 5 starters out for the Arkansas game. Our top two running backs. We could be in for a very long afternoon.

All of this because of 2 quarters of a game that never happened...
Arkansas steam rolled a weak UTEP team and we didn't see enough of Toledo play to make an assessment of our quality this season. All I can say is I hope the jitters are out and we come ready to play. No spotting points on the first drive.

And please, NO MORE DROPPED PASSES. Keeping shooting ourselves in the foot with mistake after mistake and we might be in for a long season. We definitely need to start finding ways to win big games when the opportunity is there to do so. I am thinking specifically about the 2011 Ohio State game which would have been a game for the ages in terms of gaining support and recognition for the program, and even the 2013 Missouri game and of course a few of those NIU losses over the past five years that cost us a shot at a MACC each time.

I'm pretty sure the only new person added was Terry Swanson. Jordan MArtin, Adam Kulon, and Chase Murdock were not even dressed. I don't think Trevon Mathis was either.

To get decent parking you may want to come before noon definitely. There is a lot of parking closer to the LR zoo that's a 4-5 minute walk from the stadium. If you guys are near the armory just please don't park on the side streets (they love to ticket those). I'll come say hi on Saturday for sure. Don't forget that there's a free Brad Paisley concert after the game. There's gonna be loads of cool stuff to do.

Do we know where exactly the concert will be? Just trying to plan to park away from it because I'm sure it will be a mess with people just coming for the concert on top of the gameday crowd.

Yeah but I'm sure that they dwarf us in revenue because like you said, they are the only game in town.

Just think about how many students that have graduated from UT that either wear Ohio State or Michigan garb for the rest of their lives. Hell, just think about the number of CURRENT UT students that abandon campus to go to Columbus or Ann Arbor for the weekend!!! It's pathetic!!!

Just win, baby. Just win and all that will change. But be sure to win BIG. Beat the big boys. Win league titles. Win the bowl games. Be nationally ranked. Do this and repeat.
