Indy Car fantastic finish
I assume that many of you are sports fans but not many may follow Indy Car, outside of the 500. Well if you missed yesterday's race at Sonoma, you missed one of the most unique finishes I've ever witnessed.
Now start by imaging this scenario: for Scott Dixon to win his 4th series championship, he had to (1) win the race, (2) along the way pick up points for most laps led and (3) have leader Juan Pablo Montoya finish 6th or worse. And oh yeah, if Montoya happened to finish 6th, the points would be tied and Dixon would win on a tie breaker of most wins, of which Sonoma would be Dixon's margin.
Yep, that is exactly what happened.
But to make it more interesting, Montoya was steadily gaining on 5th place finisher Ryan Briscoe by cutting the margin from 5 seconds to 1 second in the final laps.
I was standing for the last 3 laps, it was so exciting.

Was there a pass made in this race?

Yeah, quite a few.
Are you confusing Indy Car with F1? That's one of the main complaints of F1 is the lack of overtaking. If you win the poll, you're probably going to win the race.

RE: Indy Car fantastic finish
I like IRL very much. Been to about 15 Indy 500's. And IRL has used to have a race at Kentucky Speedway.
Adrian Fernandez won one year, close to retirement. Night race, very cool. Very happy to see Kanaan win at
Indy a couple of years back.
