UTSA may not win this year. 04-jawdrop

UTSA didn't really do themselves any favors with scheduling winnable games. Charlotte is their best chance for a win.

Not saying that's the only game they'll win, but it wouldn't surprise me if they finish up with only 2 or 3 wins.

I am going out on a limb as a homer and say that CLT scores 4 wins and does not finish in the basement of the conference. They will beat Ga. St. by 20 on Friday, 48-28. From what I saw we have an explosive team that was riddled with injuries and a good recruiting class that was redshirted. I see a big jump this season regardless of the jump to FBS. I think there will be some surprises at least early on in the season. We have some size on the lines which was my biggest worries for this jump.

Charlotte will not win more than 2 games this year and I would take the under on that. FIU is just awful. With the number of students they have there is no reason for them not to be as good as UCF in all aspects and they arent as good as well mostly anyone. That's why I always bring them up, such wasted potential. They basically have done nothing right except TY Hilton.

Charlotte's best chance for a win will come in week two against Presbyterian. Even though GA State sucks to high heaven they will have their way with Charlotte. If the 49s don't win against the Blue Hose I don't see them winning a game this season.

Charlotte Schedule:

Sep. 4 at Georgia State Panthers
Sep. 12 Presbyterian Blue Hose
Sep. 19 at Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders
Sep. 26 Florida Atlantic Owls
Oct. 2 Owls Temple Owls
Oct. 17 at Old Dominion Monarchs
Oct. 24 Southern Miss Golden Eagles (HC)
Oct. 31 Thundering Herd Marshall Thundering Herd
Nov. 7 at FIU Panthers
Nov. 14 UTSA Roadrunners
Nov. 21 at Kentucky Wildcats

My guess is Charlotte will be double digit dogs to everyone but Presbyterian and who knows could be that week too.

Call me a troll all you want but here is the F'N plain truth. Charlotte should have never been invited back to CUSA so early They are weaker than GA State and have less talent than a lot of DII teams. I want whats best for this conference and Charlotte wasn't it. You got invited back not on merit or accomplishments but where you are located and you was a former member. I don't care if I hurt feelings anymore, Charlotte was no more ready than GA State and the 49ers plays in rinky dinky 15 K stadium, a new stadium but 15 K still the same. If Charlotte wins 20 games in their 1st 5 years it would be a miracle.

I nominate this post for the dumbest post in the history of the internet. I am willing to bet you couldn't name 10 Charlotte players or anything about them without googling it right now. You clearly know not of which you speak in regards to Charlotte's football team.

The jump to FBS is tough, I really think that Charlotte has to beat Ga. State to get a FBS win this year. I pick ya'll for the upset so make it happen!

Frankly, neither can I. I am in the same boat with everyone. I hope to know a few Niners by the time we play you.

Two great calls there. Got any more sage wisdom we can reverse bet in Vegas for guaranteed money?

Well, let's see: the East is 5-1 so far while the West is 2-3. If you throw out the two cupcake games, then the East is 4-1 and the West is 1-3. East will probably wind up with 6 wins after the Herd takes care of Purdue today! That would also give the East 2 P5 wins!

Premature, dude. The only way to compare the two is head-to-head, and that's during conference play. You can't compare records against completely different teams, especially when the West has faced the likes of Arkansas, Mississippi State, and Arizona. So let's put this to rest until conference starts.

lol UTSA scored 32pts against no.22 Zona, USM scored 16pts against MSU, UTEP scored 13pts against No. 18 Hogs - all of these scored against 1st D teams.
WKU scored 14pts against the mighty Vandy. I don't think you want to say who is better yet.

But don't forget, the main worry around WK was their defense....and it looked pretty stout against the Comm's. Please just leave that sleeping dog of an offense alone, it'll wake up soon enough.
