RE: UVa game
I hope we can stay healthy and play a good game. Much like Jack State last week, the longer you can stay in the game, the more pressure on the home team. I feel like we match up reasonably well except for WR. Without Dedmon, I worry our guys won't get open. In the last 5-6 years, in our FBS game, getting guys open in the passing game has been a problem with the exception of Tre McBride who sometimes made catches when he was not open and was also able to get free due to his speed.
For example, Armstrong and Reeves did a good job in the opener, but will they be open this Saturday for Cluely to throw to. I guess the play action could work well, if we can run it with MAS and K. Anderson.

RE: UVa game
I'm somewhat optimistic about our chances for this one. Looking at UVa over their first two games:
@UCLA -- I didn't watch much of this one, but I think the scoreline of 34-16 is a bit deceiving. UVa mustered 3 FGs in the first half, and then were shutout until mop-up duty when they scored a TD with a few minutes left in the fourth quarter.
vs. ND -- First off, Notre Dame has no business being ranked top 10, and personally I don't think they're top 25. How the pollsters gave them that ranking after they did absolutely nothing the entire last half of the season (okay, I'll give them a bowl win against the swamp kitties...as my other team is an SEC team any win against an SEC school is good in my book) I have no idea. Notre Dame beat Texas in their first game (frankly I think my old freshman hall flag football team could beat Texas right now), so they aren't really a good barometer for UVa.
With this in mind, they have a really tall receiving corps, and our CBs are short. On more than a few occasions last year FCS teams took advantage of that. It will be important to get good pass rush so the QB doesn't have time to make accurate throws. When we're on offense though I think we will do some damage. We've seen what MAS can do, and Cluley throws a good deep ball (and the UVa defense seems to like to watch those get hauled in for big yards). I think this one turns out to be a higher scoring affair than we've seen for awhile.

Hope you are right. Plus, a bye week takes something out of the fans excitement, but the coaches and team have been working and getting ready. I do agree with LeadBolt that I would love to have both, but winning the CAA is the top priority which means playing well and getting thru healthy.

I got tickets through the alumni Association. Originally I was told to pick them up at the tailgate. Then I got an email from the alumni Association that they would be at will call. Does anyone know which is correct?

Tailgate until 230 pm, then they will be transferred to Will Call was my understanding.

UVA is a 24.5 point favorite over the Tribe. Any predictions out there for the game based on this information?

That's a lot of points for a not-great UVA offense.

That may be one of the lower spreads I have ever seen for a FBS-FCS matchup.

During Tuesday nights show it didn't sound good for Swinton. Too bad, he's a valuable asset and a good kid.

I'll take the Tribe and the points.

RE: UVa game
Of course I am rooting for the Tribe to win Saturday, but a UVA loss would likely seal the deal on ending the London experiment in Charlottesville.
Tribe wins, London is gone
Tribe loses, UVA may continue to flounder for more seasons
Sound like a win-win proposition to me!
Go Tribe!

The chances of UVA winning 6 games this year are slim and none. London and staff are history. If it's Mutt and Jeff on the outside for the Tribsters; they may hang a half a hundred on us.
Coach Barry.

Will take the points and the W. Coach Rogers had a good game plan last week, I predict another one this week. 31-28.

Villanova was actually favored by 7 over UCONN earlier this year

RE: UVa game
I'm going to be in the lower bowl cheering on the Tribe. I would have felt better about the game had UVA prevailed last week. Still this could be a classic trap game for them and we have had 2 weeks to prepare and heal.
