Read this on last Saturday's recap on the NIU athletic site. Anyone know what this will be held?

"While “training camp” practices officially will continue through next Saturday when NIU will hold its mock game."

Practice makes perfect so if I was in the area I'd be doing some mock tailgating at Huskie Stadium on Saturday. Gotta be in mid season form come UNLV!

What does a mock tailgate look like? Do you drink Shirley Temples? Play bags without the boards? Throw tiny nerf footballs?

FYI...This probably won't be a "game" in the literal sense.

Just a walk through of pre-game, running on to the field, etc.

Coaches are obsessed with building ritual and habit so they want to get the kids used to that routine.

I think they do a lot of situational coaching things, like getting the FG team on the field with less then 30 seconds left, or substitution packages
