This is a real loss for the boys. Scandrick has been their top DB for a while and is a really well rounded player who plays the outside and the slot. He also is their best blitzing DB and a key leader on the defense.

The boys do have some depth here for the first time in a LONG time with Mo Claiborne and 1'st round pick Byron Jones. Claiborne is in a contract year and a make or brake season. Mo hasn't really been a bad player, just no were near a top 10 pick. He has the talent to be a very good corner though.

The cowboys pass rush should also be dramatically better this year, which should ease the burden on the secondary. Randy Gregory is already looking like a BEAST in camp and preseason. They also have one of the elite pass rushers in the NFL, Greg Hardy, joining the unit in October. DeMarcus Lawrence looks to be the real deal as well after his blistering playoff performance.

They just put together perhaps one of their best drafts in 20 years. CB Byron Jones, DE Randy Gregory, DE/DT Ryan Russell, LB Damien Wilson, TE Geoff Swaim and OL La'el Collins are all generating buzz about their impact in training camp and the preseason.
