That wasn't the rub...it was telling the kids that other kids their age were being trained to be suicide bombers.

Be specific please. Thanks.

Someone other than a parent introducing any kind of sexual behavior to elementary aged children is egregious enough in my book.

Teaching children that homosexuality is OK and should be celebrated. It's not OK, it is a sin against God.

Those kids are way too young to have elementary teachers throw anything at them
related to Gay, Heterosexual, Homosexual, bi, trans, etc. At the 16 and change mark a
girl introduces her 2 "gay" dads. Not appropriate, same for gay mens choir.

Well, even if I agree that having a ceremony like this is at best just tacky and a bad idea, there are homosexuals who have children and they have every right to be involved in their childrens lives as does any other parent. I'm not exactly sure what your criticism is with that comment.

EDIT: And more importantly, do you have a legitimate plan to educate your children?

There are just some things that I want my kids to learn from me. I will obviously be including some religious themes in relation to sex and marriage that I know schools won't be (rightfully so) teaching that I want my kids to know.

I'm a firm believer that public school are more than adequate for educating my children and plan to take an active role in their education way before kindergarten.

I'm not outraged over this, either, though I do think it's a really weird comment for an elected official to have to a group of children. It's similar to this incident.

It was both. I imagine the kids have seen this already via the news channels. Parents let these kids watch violent cartoons, etc daily so not so sure why this is a bid deal. Anyway, that was a passing comment from the congressman and probably went way over the kids heads. As usual, it is the adults making mountains out of molehills. The kids probably just wanted to go get some ice cream.
