Dear arenafanatic,
When you do not spell the quarterback's name correctly, I find it hard to take what you say about Eastern very seriously. It is Bell, not Ball.

RE: 2015 MAC Football Predictions
Loved the write up on Miami.
The MAC appears wide open to me this year in each division. Did not realize BG was that loaded, very tough schedule. UMASS is my pick in the East.
The West WMU /NIU / UT / BallSt all are capable of winning. That schedule of WMU seems too tough so I would scratch them, UT is loaded outside that very important OLINE. Five new Oline not sure Hunt or Ely can survive that. Leaves my beloved and BSU. Ball St needs BIG performance out of their QB, not just a game manager to win it. That leaves my Huskies by default. The best thing the Huskies do is win. They are better at winning than football, they know how to win. NIU v UMASS in Detroit.

Damn, I must of missed that when I was reading it over. I'll fix that problem when I get home.
Sorry about that.

I really like UMass as well. I agree that things are pretty open this year which makes for an exciting season! If UMass could emerge into a title contender, that would be awesome for the league.

Toledo LT Storm Norton who started 3 games(BGSU,NIU,EMU) last season is a Lombardi Award candidate. RG Ruben Carter, started 1 game for FSU and was the back up for consensus All American RG Tre Jackson , who was taken by New England in the 4th Rd of the NFL Draft. The Rocket OL will be one of the MAC's best. Coach Manning does a great, keeps turning out all Conference players. He certainly helped Mancz to win MAC POY and All-American Honors.

Ball State has a 6'5" FR QB that can run and I predict he'll be the starter before the season is over with.

RE: 2015 MAC Football Predictions
Thatd be awesome for the league? So a team that is trying to find a new conference independently, leaving the MAC as a stepping stone, but them as title contender is not beneficial to the league. Them as a bottom feeder is beneficial.

I doubt that any MAC East fan thinks his or her team will finish last. And yet, one-seventh of those fan bases is wrong.
I fear we may. I just hope we don't.

Kent and Miami are on an upswing. Buffalo is at that unproven stage that no one knows. One of those three should finish last...but hey it's the MAC!?

I don't agree. If they were staying in Football and adding basketball, then it becomes a good story. Otherwise, f**k 'em.

You know that is not true. UMass wanted the A10/MAC combo for a very long time. Temple leaving and the new CFP system, along with the new TV contract extension changed things for the MAC presidents . It was mostly about money and a little to do about an even number of teams. Our culture is (very) slowly changing from basketball first. We have more in common with teams in the MAC then the A10.
There is no guarantee that we'll get into the AAC and long term as an independent is not feasible. The AD staff that made that decision are now gone. We don't know what the future brings, but we joined the MAC as a long term deal.

Just not THE best though...if you believe Athlon sports that is.
Which teams have the best OL in the nation?
