BB games streamed
Someone said last year that 3 schools per year in the MAC were being picked to show all basketball games on ESPN3. If this is true, does anyone know which 3 schools are selected this year?

...2016: Everyone else except WMU
2025: WMU
it will take that long before our Audio-Visual/Media department meets the minimum standards for broadcast. It's been the most neglected area in the WMU spectrum since the invention of the television.

I read somewhere, maybe it was Tuesdays chat, that WMU either purchased or is in the process of purchasing a production truck for the video broadcasts. That could be why they were holding off on any upgrades considering they would only get a year or two out of the investment.

Historically we haven't been able to find a person who can aim a camera properly, let alone produce a program in even a semi-professional manner. Now you want me to believe they think they can actually run a production truck.
I've said before that my junior high son and his buddies do a better producing video with their I-phones than I have seen from the entire WMU AV dept. I am not joking about this.
.........Speaking of jokes, our AV dept is one. ESPN said they'll air games for the schools that are most ready with their AV depts. first. I knew right then that we would be the last school added.

It sounds like they are working on it. From Tuesdays MLive chat...

Well, the MAC has that new deal with ESPN and eventually WMU will be broadcasting its own events, including football games that don't make TV. WMU just bought a new production trailer and just hired someone to oversee all of the broadcast stuff. The pieces are coming together in that regard.
