CFN Group of 5 Top 15 teams, NIU #6
MAC with 3 entries in the top 15

http://cfn.scout.com/2/1579807.html

If I was picking from this group, I would take Utah State.

3 of the Top 15 G5s are in the MAC West.

I like how they opened WMU at #13 with:

Quote:They’ll Bowl With the Big Boys Because … head coach P.J. Fleck is an emerging rock star in the profession.

That has to get old-school/traditionalist WMU fans and several NIU fans rolling their eyes. :)

Quote:14. Marshall

And unlike a year ago, when a weak schedule was a stumbling block, Marshall opens the season by hosting the Big Ten’s Purdue.

Statement Opportunities : vs. Purdue (Sept. 6)

Of course the AAC and MWC dominate the list.

I just hope the Fleck way isn't the future of coaching. Ultra energetic motivational speaking turns me off more than being set on fire by ugly people. It seems to work for Harbaugh too....ugh. Keep these annoying asshats in Michigan, please. That's why I want these guys to fail. I just HATE their style so much.

That BroCoach link....it's funny but I can't stand it for long.

Look on the bright side the MAC West got 2 of the top 8 spots, the same number as the American while the MWC got 3.
The MAC will always have a tough time competing with the MWC when the only P5 conference in the MWC's region of the country is the 12PAC which includes 2 private U's that recruit nationally.

The MAC has the Big 10, ACC (Pitt,Syracuse & ND) Iowa St recruits Illinois, Mizzou recruits Illinois, WVA recruits Ohio along with several SEC programs recruiting Ohio & Illinois who hardly ever go West.

I just don't know how people don't get sick from hearing that kind of speech.....just like with overly negative talk, overly positive talk is impossible to take seriously and I just want to waive the person away. ENOUGH.

Pretty much! Marshall has about the easiest schedule in the country (it's SoS WAS rated #128 by one place). Purdue is not a statement game if Purdue is in the ballpark of what they were the last couple years. It's WMU's bad-looking loss of the year (not losing to BSU or Ohio during that year; but Purdue).

Hey, if a team is in the dumps or always a 3rd place team in their division, and one day wants to aim high -- and they can't find a good prospect hire... they'll opt for those who remind some of (a thinner) Matt Foley to fire things up. :)

Quote:They're like a combination of televangelists and time share salesmen.

It's what helps make the MAC West exciting, and the MAC East boring. :)

I'm going to be changing the site up this week before the games start making it more full, with comments too, etc. I want to have a humorous edge to it, but I don't want to get sued or anything lol.

+1...dude is like the Van Wilder of college football. He is exciting to watch, so hopefully he doesn't get hurt in the first game or two
