And, of course, there was no coach's show on. Wonderful.

It's going to be on at 6:30 PM due to technical difficulties. It will go back to regular time next Sunday.

After taking a few days to let this all digest, and watching Ga. State/UNC-Charlotte Friday, I am glad we're building the way we are. Sucks to lose, but Ga. State stockpiled transfers and tried to win fast. They still haven't recovered from it and lost to a team in its' third year of existence.
Let's keep on keepin' on, and beat Maryville!

Seemed to work out rather well for Kennesaw the other night. Will be interesting to see how their season goes. As for ETSU, what is the strategy? Has Torbush specified, detailed his plan in order to calm nerves and help keep fans on board?

It worked out great for Ga. State in year one. I think they were 6-5 or something like that.
They've never recovered.

Yes, their last three years, they're 2-33, and lost their first game, as you noted, of this season. And, I believe I read where they're heavy, heavy on transfers again this season. I hear you and will keep the faith.

In this opener with Kennesaw, ETSU had 58 different players in the game. Was there just a bit of experimentation going on? Not a team yet by any means in this game, right? Or, is this the norm now days in college football?

On pre game show Coach Torbush said they would be playing all players on the 2 deep as they are still looking for who can perform during games.

RE: Official Game Thread: Kennesaw State (L 16-56)
The Bucs have no experience playing college football, except for four players. They don't have anyone to practice against except players with no experience. They have to develop depth at all positions and you can't develop sitting on the bench.

They have already lost two OL starters for this weeks game.

With so many teams playing some form of a spread offense, the defense/offense substitute some players nearly every down. How many times have you seen the defense call time out because they are totally winded trying to defense an up-tempo offense.

The whole premise of an up-tempo spread offense is to wear out the defense. Keeping fresh players in the game is paramount and the only way to do that is to play at least two deep, plus you have a kick-off team, a receiving team, punt returner, kicker, long snapper, nickle back, holder, etc.

There are always players that practice good but don't play as well when the lights come on and visa versa. IMO the only way to separate the men from the boys is game conditions.

It is not, unusual for a team to play three deep especially in a blowout game.
