30-24 says it isn't accurate in the state of Georgia. Oh and four National Championships to one. And a more recent National Championship. And the namesake of the top Athletic Director award. And the namesake of the top player award. And the namesake of the top Head Coach award.

That map is all kinds of inaccurate in regards to NC:

- if you ask ECU fans (sans me), they'll tell you ECU is the best.

- if you go by the last school to win at least at FBS conference "division" crown, it is Duke.

- same logic applies if you add records for the last 3 seasons.

- if you go by last school to win a BCS conference title, its Wake Forest.

- only if you go by tailgating standards does NC State win that "best" distinction.

:)

Yeah, NC State isn't the best "football school" in North Carolina.

Yes, sort of. Baylor is best in Texas but UGA is best in Georgia.

Looks more like which teams he thinks will be best THIS season - in other words, it's a guess.

Is it just me or does saying the title of "Best football team in NC" feel a lot like saying "Gold medalist in the second grade field day"?

Doesn't Georgia claim 1942 too?

But 1917 alone blows Georgia out of the water, in terms of championship claims.

UGA is better than GT even despite the game last year.

But Baylor, Michigan State and NC State (though who really "deserves" the title as "best in NC", maybe "least worst"?) show that it's a current thing and not an historical perspective.
