RE: UCF-USF Moved to Thanksgiving Night?
ESPN, I assume that is the network broadcasting this game, needs product. Like the Hawaii Bowl that is played on Christmas Eve (or is it Christmas night), this is a game made for television. Fans are not required or expected to show for this game.

Thinking about this- Why is ESPN competing with the NFL (Detroit game and Dallas game)?

Any time USF or a conference mate has a chance for major national exposure I am onboard all the way. If I was still in Tampa I'd attend for sure, never yet been to BHNS. Would love to check it out. I could fly back... but I'm saving my travel funds for the bowl game. ;-)

It's a good deal for both teams involved and the AAC. Tough on fans, but that's an exposure trade worth the hardship.

Its early bud. You never know. You might not need that bowl money and you can re-purpose it to attend the game. 07-coffee3

Which if TV is driving moves it's more important. I think people are PO now, but some will get over it, some that weren't coming before because of Black Friday will come now and some won't.
It will all depend on how teams are doing if they are both doing well and this game decides East title for either then there will be a nice enough crowd.
If both teams are having disappointing season then attendance will suffer and it was going to anyways

Now in scenarios mode:

If i was in Florida, yes I'd be pissed to not be able to go to the game

Since i'm in New York City, I'm not pissed because I'd have to watch at home regardless.

I think ESPN is just testing how well our games are received (cough cough Big 12)

a big opportunity for UCF and USF. Need bust in seats and eyes on TV. The American needs this to be a success.

Yea, that's kind of the way I am now. I was PO at first glance. My buddies have agreed we can't make the game but already bought season tickets. The only exception is if UCF has managed to go undefeated till then; then we all agreed we would cancel on our families and go to the game.

So really it's on the team, go undefeated my butt is in my seat and my DVR is on. If we have an average season, I'll be visiting family and watching it on TV.
