What is lost in this is that we had TWO good QBs. It's nice to have two many good players for a change. Nice change of pace....

There was consideration given to not redshirting Paxton his freshman year, but I'm definitely glad we have him for 2 more.

nothing as long as they are also realistic. Lynch is still not a finished product by any means, but he has only gotten better and better with good coaching and first team reps.
I shudder to think what might happen if he were injured this year...as no one knows what to expect from the young men who back him up. We have no established qb with any type of game experience.

Expecting Lynch to come in and be as good as a Peyton Manning in his 2nd season was unrealistic...I'm not saying anyone vocalized that in particular...but they sure acted as if he was supposed to be a world beater.

With the added weight...he should be able to run for at least 500 yards this year. Adding that to Lynch's game will help him absorb hits a little better from defensive players, and increase his qb stock at the professional level,

The guy never gets hurt. He can't get less hurt. That is the one thing that I am crossing my fingers on the most. If the players are on the field, we are going to have a really good team. We can absorb a few injuries on offense to players other than Lynch. We can't afford any injuries on defense. We were crazy healthy last year.
