Lang hinted on LibertyFlamesNation that Hampton was a good probability. It was stated on AGS that Campbell joining us in football was a good possibility too. Some other HBU's were mentioned as well. I'd like to add Carson Newman as well, they've been a D2 powerhouse and would probably do well in 1-AA, especially the Big South.

D2 call-ups require extra time to transition to Division I status. MEAC schools could slide in right away.

Hampton is not the powerhouse they were just a few years ago. But they would still be a quality add along with NC A&T and even Delaware State. SC State's financial crisis makes them a bit less attractive right now. I could even see one-time FBS member Florida A&M being a nice fit.
