RE: Rank the AAC Stadiums
Man, ECU fans want to win something in the AAC so badly they ask for everyones opinion and then say that its wrong because they aren't #1.

RE: Rank the AAC Stadiums
I think going strictly by stadium appearance UCF isn't near the top but more in the middle, however, upgrades are being made aesthetically. A legitimate argument could be made that we have one of the best tailgating scenes, gameday atmospheres, and that BHNS is one of the toughest places to play in the AAC.

Trying to speak from an unbiased perspective, UC, ecu, and houston have invested quite a bit into their stadiums and they are very nice. If houston could get 80%+ of capacity for every game it would be a tough place to play I am sure.

Not that I doubt it but what exactly is wrong with their stadium?

Extra points bounce off a brick wall, for starters. Haha

I really have no issues with Tulsa's stadium other than the size. It has always been very good for ECU to play there.

RE: Rank the AAC Stadiums
Navy puts the visiting fans almost in the endzone the seats are so bad.

Have not heard why but visiting fans will be moved in SMU's stadium. (sorry you have to click a link they put it in PDF). Visiting fans used to be in sections 126-128 and 226-228. Now you will be in 116-122 where our students sat.

its all subjective..im not very high on ucfs stadium...and judge stadiums on the stadium not the fans

but if i were to judge it on fans/atmosphere..ucf could make a debate depending on what you look for..if it energtic and cheerful, you could say ecu but if it roughest and toughest to play in it could be ucf, ive watched like 5 games in the last 2 years were ive seen ucf fans and opposing players getting into it...you can hearing cursing chants in many of their games ...some could argue tulsa if they like quite serene games to just watch some football live..

its all subjective..youll see ecu fans debate about their unquestioned best stadium, cincy for their unquestioned best stadium, etc., what you'll notice is that its the fans of those teams making their biased opinion based on homerism

I agree...
As for how the stadiums look, we shouldn't even be in the conversation. I like Houston ' s new stadium a lot.

If it comes to how loud the stadium can get or how tough it can be for opposing teams, UCF can sound like a 70,000 fan stadium because of its reverb.

If I factor everything, I'd give the overall ranking to ECU.

I'm going to Nipper this year (unless we completely blow) and am excited to see what it has to offer and the fan atmosphere.

RE: Rank the AAC Stadiums
I'll settle this little ECU/UCF pissing match objectively after visiting ECU in 2017. I've visited Tulane, UConn, UH and UCF as a BYU fan. By 2017 I will also have been to Nippert. Right now UCF has the lead as the atmosphere was great with your comeback and OT win. I've always wanted to visit Greenville for a game as I live in CLT and feel like yall have been often snubbed by the ACC in particular.

What a shock this turned ugly quick. I haven't been to very many conference mates stadiums, but Navy's is by far my favorite. Judging just from watching on TV I'd say Nippert, The Fick, and the bounce house sound and appear to have the best atmospheres. I can't judge amenities or anything else since I haven't attended games there.

Other than maybe tradition and design. It just needs more people, and some fixes such as parking & adjacent activities.

more than that...the last pic I saw you guys are playing in a park with a fricken tree or two that you have to play around....I mean, can't you rent a local high school or maybe strike a deal with Oral Roberts for pete sake?!?!

Why are people ranking tailgating and not stadiums?

Best atmosphere? ECU. To me atmosphere equals noise and noise comes from fans and we lead in attendance every year the end.

RE: Rank the AAC Stadiums
I can't even rank my own stadium since I haven't yet experienced the upgrades.

Nippert has history and character. One of the oldest college football stadiums in the country. No other stadium in the AAC can match Nippert in that regard.

It is so smack dab in the middle of campus, academic buildings form the boundary and peer into the stadium. Nippert isn't stuck in the middle of parking lots. Students walk through it on the way to classes, and hang out in it between classes.

Not a bad seat in the house, unless you are in the first 6 rows.

Nippert is extremely loud for big games. With the new addition, it will be even more enclosed. I will be interested to hear any difference in noise level this year.

I don't know how many other stadiums in the AAC serve beer, but it is a Nippert tradition. The student union - which is the west entrance to Nippert - has a pub with a decent beer selection.

Just purely off the stadium itself, I think we can all agree that it's Houston and then everyone else. Feels good to be able to say that after all those years at the Rob.
