Chicago expands amusement tax
Yesssssssssssssss you see if you're having fun in Chicago YOU SHOULD BE TAXED YOU ONE PERCENTER.

You might be thinking "they're going to tax people going to Bulls or Bears games?" Well they may already do that, I'm too lazy to look it up. But in this particular instance, they're coming to tax you if you subscribe to Amazon Prime. Or Netflix. Or Spotify. Or Pandora. Or XBox Live. Or Playstation Network. Or HBO Go. Or Gamefly. Or Vudu. Or iTunes purchases. Or Google Play purchases. YOU FILTHY 1% NOT PAYING THEIR FAIR SHARE.

Quote:In other words, Chicago now taxes its citizens 9 percent on their $99 annual Amazon Prime subscription because of its instant video/music service, plus 9 percent for each $3.99 digital rental through the same service.

If you can afford Bears games now you probably can afford a little more....

Seriously, they charge like $48 to park for a Bears game. It's already outrageous. The Shedd Aquarium was more than $30 for one person even without any of the special attractions. It's already the 1% doing this stuff now.

Did you read what he actually wrote?

Amazon Prime and freaking NetFlix is 1%'er territory now? Damn, I just got rich, reeeeal quick.

But yes, by all means, continue to bend over and grab the ankles for your BIG GOVERNMENT overlords.

You see, what you earn isn't actually yours at all. What our benevolent Government(s) allow you to keep is then your money. They get first cut. Always.

So that makes it OK to squeeze more out of them? Typical leftist logic. Ffs, you people are hopeless.

Yes, I read what he wrote. Have no idea what you mean by bending over, etc. I don't live in Chicago and I avoid spending what appears to be a ripoff. The Bears can claim it's not them, it's the park district, which is true. Still a ripoff and it's been that way for most pro franchises across the country for some time. Netflix? Who needs it?

Imagine the cash they could take in if they could somehow tax every gunshot fired in the city
