Why did Clinton look the other way when a million Africans were slaughtered
Bill not Hill.
It is now well documented, that Bill Clinton ignored the genocide occurring in Rwanda in 1994. (Sources have put the death total between 500,000 and one million.)
Do black lives matter?
Clinton himself, in 1998, apologized to the Rwandans for USA, and world inaction.

Quote:When President Bill Clinton flew to Rwanda in 1998 (in a trip in which he never left the airfield), he claimed that he simply didn’t know what was happening in Rwanda. We now have further evidence that Clinton’s claims were false. It is not that the U.S. government didn’t know what was happening in Rwanda. The truth is that we didn’t care.
Care to comment Madam Secretary?

I believe Bill realized it was a mistake and has spoken out since on his regret for not doing anything.

I personally have no problem with what Clinton did.
In essence I'd encourage it. It's called Population Control!
Rwanda is not a major trade partner nor are they any asset to the United States.
Call me cruel or heartless. The fact is there are too many people on this earth in combination of nature and wildlife.
The HEALTHY ecosystem can not handle anymore humans

Exactly, we can't be the world police. Rwanda basically has zero natural resources and was always meant to be a region of small villages. If the women over there didn't decide to have 10 children and over populate the region, then there wouldn't be problems. Small sustainable growth to live off the land and encourage tourism is the logical way this region can prosper and live healthy lives for everyone.
More people = more disease, less resources, uprising in evil leaders.

RE: Why did Clinton look the other way when a million Africans were slaughtered
The fact the US did nothing in the Rwanda situation is a permanent stain on the Clintons.
But, their reasoning was pretty sound, Mobutu Sese Seko was our boy next door to the situation and he was in a ****** situation helping us with our failed proxy wars in Angola.
Most Americans have never heard of our involvement and that's partly because we hate to let people know when we lose, which we most certainly did in West Central Africa.

Because we had just lost 19 soldiers trying to stop a genocide in Somalia.
