I don't presume anything regarding your educational background. Since I'm presuming you're taking issue with my 'shadowy NIU figures' line, that is something I got from one of many podcasts I listen to. I only inserted NIU instead of the original saying.

Is there still racism, yes. Racism will never totally disappear, not in the US, not in Europe, not in Asia, etc. Well, you get the point. However, given what you noted above, blacks have every opportunity as other races in today's US. Those that grasp that by the horns succeed, those that don't sit back and play the race card.
