Why would Coach Clark sign this kid if he did not intend to have the Blazers take the field for the 2016 season?

I keep optimistically thinking the same thing. Would be more encouraged if we signed several other transfers or JUCO players.

They've started offering kids based on twitter. Most look like 2017. Guess they know they'll need them by then. I'm purely guessing but I bet they are going to get a chance to oversign for at least one year and get back up to speed ASAP. I do know they like the plan they put before the NCAA and the NCAA has been very helpful during this process

I'd say most of the signees we'll see would be what most would term late JUCO/playing time transfer type signees that happen in the summer for fall camps. If that is the case, would these historically count against our last signing class or our future class?
