Those guys aren't liberal they are democrats. There's a difference.

You wouldn't want me to say TEAPARTY and republicans were the same would you?

do you go to the bathroom when you post?

as scary as that scenario sounds, it's eerily becoming more obvious that is happening....

See post #52.

I'm sure you would agree with me that generally speaking, people who were poor and became rich are lean liberal and those who were born rich lean conservative. The Kennedys are an anomaly which is why they are so beloved.

Actually, I'd say just the opposite.

Learning life lessons are difficult. That's what this kid is learning right now.

Hey, I can sympathize with the 'pain' that accompanies this but hopefully he was taught that every challenge is an opportunity and he figures it out.

I agree. Seems to me folks that work their way up from nothing know about all the hard work and sacrifice that entails so they wouldn't be all that inclined to just give it all away, etc.

Just look at Hollywood the sports and music industry ( with the exception of country music ) The vast majority of those people are rags to riches stories who are liberal.

It's called being 22, liberal, and was given a wad of someone else's money to spend.

Now that the money is gone, the only solution is for more people to give her more money.

The money was from her family. Old money screams conservative.

To you, apparently.

Name one person who was born rich and is liberal.

You can't be serious. lol.

For ultra-lib and ultra rich, and murderously entitled, can we start with Kennedy's?

Where should we go from there? Rockefeller perhaps?

Has anyone considered the possibility that this whole thing is BS? I mean come on we are talking about radio DJs interviewing a nameless, voice altered student. I mean sure the general outline might be about right. Girl has money from college given to her by her Grandparents, and it doesn't last through graduation, but come on, she and the radio station are playing this thing for all it is worth. It is all about the ratings.

Maybe that's true and it is fake but it isn't as if there aren't thousands of kids across the country who find themselves in these sorts of situations.

You just described the tactic of Rush, Beck, and Hannity but these guys eat it up. They think it's all real. That's why I love to listen.

So, do you think it's all a lie? If so, why, and what proof do you have that it is all made up?

We don't have any proof that it's real either.

Not a lie but likely exaggerated.

My Aunt and Uncle sent my cousin, out of college and trying to get started in life, something in the low-ish 5 figures to buy a decent car (used 4 Runner) back about 25 years ago. Cousin promptly took the money and decided to "go double it" in Vegas over the weekend.

Lost EVERY penny of it, 17 grand I think it was.

They sent him another check.

Cousin now in mid-50's and still hasn't grown up...

My guess would be that if he had succeeded in doubling his money, he would have spent it all on a more pricey car/truck that would be worth exactly the same as the used 4 Runner today.

Probably. My parents loaned me money for a car, so I didn't have that option, not that I would have done anything like that. My parents are depression-era. They're no dummies. They refused to loan (give?) money to one of my nieces, who I think we all knew was not likely to pay it back.

Not a bad guess, actually. But he already had the truck picked out and supposedly thought he could just go win another chunk of cash for his pocket. But yea, either way this is a pretty similar example of a story like this, most definitely not made up.
