I don't mind Fredericks by himself, I just wish there was a little more fire power coming next to him. He's probably a solid role player/hustle guy that can knock down an open shot and play defense. I feel like we got a handful of those guys already but Idk. I could see Evans leaving and the last scholarship not getting filled.

It's a misleading headline but whatever. He's a JUCO all-american that the staff seems to like. If he comes in and has a Titus Rubles type of impact, I'm cool with it.

mick's juco bigs have generally been decent. and i agree with jarr about pocketing jake's scholarship unless joe creams our pants. that kid would step into a waiting starting spot

i was thinking those same thoughts last night. the production will eventually be forced out of somewhere. i said in another thread that tre scott could quietly average ten points with his ability to hit the glass coupled with a lot of guards chuckin'. brooks at least doesn't appear to be a stiff. nsoseme could benefit by hanging out with hicks. you know, eating babies and sh!t. trevor needs to hit around 40% from three and keith will needs to work on his foul shooting if he can't develop a three ball

Seriously Dude, you need a reeducation. Go over to 247 and look at the history of Micks classes. He has an occasional bad year, like the year our best recruit was Titus Rubles. There is enough in the tank to continue at least status quo. Since I have been watching the Bearcats (32 years), we have had a total of 5 five star recruits. Wingfield, McClendon, Flint, Fortsen, and Born Ready. And quit calling our players garbage.

Frank Mason was originally committed to Towson. Devonte Graham was headed to appalachcian State.

I actually saw him play in person at a Motlow game. Very athletic guy with a high motor. Good ft shooter who can get to the line with his aggressiveness and my recollection is he shot close to 80% from the line at the time i saw him back in the winter. Clearly a guy who can get to the line as well. He's not a knock down 3 point shooter, but has stretches where he looked great from the perimeter. To me he's a very good compliment to Cumberland as they are both players who can play inside and out and in transition. If his outside shot was not going he had the skills to put it on the floor and score inside. Aggressive player.I've said from the start i'd like to see him here. He's got some seasoning on him.

He really runs the floor well. One thing Cumberland also like to do. I would love to see these two in the same lineup.

Fredericks is not a bad player, JUCO All American, and would probably come in and take a starting spot immediately. He looks like an immediate 10 and 5 guy to me.

Also, UAB is out, and USF is fading , but the competition may be getting tougher

you serious about that? 10 and five? i'd certainly take that. it's always cool to see the next generation. here comes the optimistic preseason

When UAB and USF have offered a recruit, and that's basically it-I am going to call them trash. When was the last time USF had a winning record in basketball ( mens not womens ) the point I am trying to make is, I am tired of these 6-6 wing type guys we ALWAYS recruit, who average 6 point a game, don't get drafted and have a minor impact on the game. Rubles, Justin Jackson, Rashad Bishop, Tre Scott, etc etc. These players are dime a dozen. I don't care about a guys " motor " I want to see someone who is SKILLED. None of the aforementioned players had any sort of skill on the offensive side of the ball. We need scorers. And Fredericks does not appear to be that.

It sounds like there may be other schools getting in late on this guy.
