Back, way back in the beginning the PAC and the ACC had discussions about a joint network. This was about the time that the ACC was flirting with FOX and before ESPN had decided to pay the ACC way more that Neil ever thought possible.
The point is that don't assume that all of the conferences are in full cooperation. Were the ACC and the PAC to feel slighted in any way in the distribution of Big 12 product, I would think that they would explore all possibilities before they signed off on long term relationships that they were not fully comfortable with.
Could the PAC with the help of the ACC and some Big 12 muscle prevent the SEC and the B1G from shaping the future of collegiate athletics in their own images?
No stone will be left unturned before all schools sign off on the coming realignment.

Yep, I wasn't even sure back then that the ACC would get the top end they were expecting of $120M per year. To get $155M per year was great, for about a nanosecond. Then the other contracts started pouring and suddenly the ACC was behind the 8-ball. I didn't even get to enjoy the nanosecond because SU was still in the Big East at that time.

Anyway, here is a link discussing the potential of either a PAC/ACC combined network or a PAC/B12 combined network

Neil
