The chicken restaurant was the subject of controversy and protests a few years ago after its CEO made remarks that offended the LGBT community.

But that hasn't stopped fans from flocking to its restaurants, and giving it high marks for customer experience.

"It is laser focused on a particular product," said Forrest Morgeson, director of research at ACSI. "It focuses on one thing and does it exceptionally well ... and that is chicken sandwiches."

This is Chick-fil-A's debut on the list and its score is the highest ever achieved in the category.

I like Chik-Fil-A but I would trade it for a Jack in the Box for no other reason than the 99 cent tacos.

If I'm going to do fast food, I want local...Tops BBQ, Pirtles and Gus' Chicken, Lenny's Subs, Holiday Ham, Danvers, etc.

I like trying the local food trucks, too.

Never understood the obsession with chick fil a, butter and pickle juice is all I taste there...

No shock here. It's based on the owner being engaged or on premises much of the time. But mainly, they employ a HIGHER QUALITY of individual.

Yea..soggy chicken sandwiches don't really do it for me.

Still can say the somehow...I have never eaten anything at one of these places. I have no compulsion for any chicken sandwich...anywhere. I still think of CFa as mall food.

Every Chik-fil-A I've ever been in was clean, efficient, and polite. And I like the food.

Never been to Jack in the Box, but the rest of the rankings seem about right.

This is the thing. The chicken sandwiches are always soggy from the packaging, BUT there must be cocaine in the batter because I'll always go back.

I also have a personal vendetta against Panera, KFC, and Chipotle.

Do tell...

McDonald's is F'ed. That's what I get from this survey.

The difference in efficiency between CFA and other fast food places is like night and day. We stopped at Zaxby's this past weekend on the way home and waited almost 30 minutes for our food. I've never waited longer than 5 minutes at a CFA and that's with 2 lanes of drive thru wrapped around the building.

You can not like their food all you want, but their service and efficiency is second to none.

Management. Chik filet managed well

Try going to a CFA drive-thru - you'll wait more than 5 minutes I promise you. The one near me had to shut down for a month to expand its drive-thru from one lane to two.
