So who protects the common folks from government? Because that is the biggest threat they face.

I don't want it red, white, and blue for 4th of July. I don't want it camo for Veterans Day....and I like veterans a lot. I don't want it lit pink for breast cancer even though I am definitely in favor of breast cancer fund raising.

I want the White House to be lit in white light like a dignified representation of the executive branch of a government.

This is going a little to far. I think I became more conservative this week.

I consider myself rather socially liberal, do what you want in your own bedroom, but lighting up the WH seems like a public endorsement and also seems to be a way of Obama 'thumbing his nose' at conservative Americans and those that have religious beliefs against gay marriage.

Just four years ago he said marriage should remain between a man and a woman. Now the White House looks like a gay bath house.
