Yep, but Mexico doesn't give a crap about any of that. From some articles I read remittances make up around 2% of their GDP. Small percentage but very large number to the tune of $20+ billion.

Also, I fail to see what if anything that taxpayers contributed to her education. She received some grant and scholarship from a couple private enterprises.
