While nowhere near as bad as modern leftists Hamilton was one of the few Founding Fathers that favored a much more powerful central government, a core philosophy of today's leftists who desire a nanny state.

Hamilton likely would have been satisfied with the federal expansion that began with the Civil War and really gained steam in the last 20 years of the century through to FDR and the socialist New Deal. At that point even Hamilton would have likely been disgusted at the direction of the country.

The point is that nobody is going to be particularly offended by changing 'whom' is on any bill. Of course, that means it may NOT be 'all about the Benjamins' at some point, but it's already all about the plastic anyway, so who cares? SYmbols like the flag and the eagle are far more meaningful IMO, and new technology actually allows us to make those even more prominent.

Having said that, I think it's a bad idea to start putting living people on our bills... NOT because they may not deserve it, but because truly worthy people span their lifetime... not that we THINK they will or that they PROBABLY will, but that by definition of being selected for such an honor, they have. and there's no reason why a 2015 bill has to have the same 'guy' on it as a 1985 bill. Let's change them more frequently... of course we'll have to adopt Europe's penchant for colored paper too for consistency and clarity, but I think we're going that way anyway... at least somewhat

I'd put Susan B, Rosa, MLK, GWC, it's a long list of deserving people... and I'm happy for us to get to it.
