These boys are definitely heroes. They went into a burning trailer and brought out an infant and a small child, took care of them, and called 911. It is nice to see something besides doom and gloom, confrontation and divisiveness.

Saw this on the news earlier. Both very humble about the bravery they showed in rescuing those two young children from the fire. As you say, nice to see a story like this.

wow. great story. something like this should get more press to show that there are good people in this world still, and that not all white people hate black people, and vice versa.

What is most unfortunate is that this doesn't garner enough clicks and viewers as compared to the trash of society.

For this - a nice little 5 minute blurb and that's it. For the trash - 24/7 news coverage, in-depth analysis, interview the hate mongers, and on and on.

For the vast majority of Americans, while stuff like a fire rescue doesn't happen every day - people generally get along pretty well. However, if you watch the media, you'd think there was active warfare going on among the populous every day.

The media scours the country every day looking for some controversy, somewhere - anywhere.

Yep.



I hope this is more of an effect of our aging population, but I think it's more a matter of the availability of constant news.
