Tribe Players - Pro Football
Most of you probably saw our Tribe in the NFL article this week (of the first 5 players). Here's part 2, including status updates for Mike Reilly, BW Webb, Jerome Couplin III, Jasper Coleman, and Tre McBride. More of the younger Tribe NFL crew here, but very exciting nonetheless. If you missed the status updates for the first 5 players we did, there's a hotlink in the first part of this article! Roll Tribe. Enjoy

Old article from a few weeks back, though I did see where the Seahawks re-signed Tavaris Jackson today. Nice comments about Archer though.

And then there were 9...We'll see how many can make it through all the cuts pretty soon with training camp

Will be interesting to see how long he is allowed to have that on the field unless Waffle House is an official NFL sponsor as well.

Looks like Arian Foster has a serious groin injury (maybe IR?) that will help Grimes stay on the Texans.

If Foster goes on IR, I don't see any way that Grimes doesn't make the active roster.

RE: 10 Tribe Players in NFL
I hope that would be the case but, this early in the season, it's probably more likely that the Texans would work out a few vets and try to replace Foster that way.

Texans have training workouts with Washington this weekend at the Skins' Richmond training camp...so Grimes will be in the area.

RE: 10 Tribe Players in NFL
Foster is on the temporary DL, where he will be eligible to come back this season, but probably not for the first 8 games.

Grimes and Blue will get the first shots, but Texans are reportedly also taking a look at who else is out there.

Yeah, talk is CJ2K, Steven Jackson, and the rest of recently "retired" vets will get a look. Also, Blue is the in-house favorite but Grimes will see his PT go up.

RE: 10 Tribe Players in NFL
Among 9 left, the current status is as follows:
- Jonathan Grimes, Sean Lissemore, Mike Leach will make the final 53. This might be Mike's last year.
- Tre McBride will make the team. I would say 70~80% lock.
- Jerome Couplin, BW Webb need to play well during the preseason to make the team. Both need to excel at special team plays. BW's chance might depend on the shoulder injury of 2nd rounder CB who might need a season-ending surgery.
- Jasper Coleman, RJ Archer, Mike Reilly have uphill battle. Seattle is little thin at QB, so hope RJ makes the team as a 3rd QB. Jasper and Mike need to show some potential to make PS.

CFL is currently on ESPN 2

RE: 10 Tribe Players in NFL
Archer has a chance to be the number 2 QB. I'd say that he should be able to beat out Tarvaris Jackson. Both are mobile, but Jackson hasn't shown anything anywhere for a long time.,
