Anyone else watching this game?

Kinda bummed Alex Morgan still isn't playing yet. She's so fun to watch run...

Rapinoe just put Team USA up 3-1 over Australia with a little over 10 min remaining in reg time.

If I make fun of your face, maybe in a decade I'll like it.

RE: OT: Women's World Cup
I can't imagine anyone taking this Cup away from us, especially in a North America host site. We're on a mission after losing to Japan last time around. That loss still stings for this team.

For those not paying attention, Japan is ranked 4th coming into the Cup. The U.S. Team is stacked. Rapinoe went off for two scores last night. We escaped with the win to get an early 3 points in a tough group.

I truly felt though that AUS outplayed the US for the better part of this game! Without the heroics of Hope Solo this game could've easily been a 3-3 draw if not a 4-3 loss!

USA needs to kick it up a notch EARLY against their next two foes.

Could have been an eye-opening result of early over-confidence. If that type of play carries over into their next game then it'll be troublesome for their chances to bring the Cup back to the US.

Unless I'm mistaken, if we beat Sweden and Australia beats Nigeria, we're through to the knockout phase regardless of what we do against Nigeria. Nice spot to be in.

Great, great win against Ze Germans last night. The Finals should be great whoever we face. Either we'll be getting our Revolutionary War pride on against England or a rematch of the 2011 Finals with Japan.

That offense finally showed up in bunches. Best time to do that, I suppose.

Yep. Good on you guys. Also, 4 days until I reside in Williamsburg. Kind of excited.

Also, to keep this sports related. Nine of the WC champs either play or did play for UNC's women's team.

Of course. Soccer is a non-revenue sport. 05-stirthepot
