U20 World Cup
Team USA sits in first place of group A with a 2-0 record with 6 points and a +5 goal differential. They have punched their ticket to the round of 16 and all is left is a battle with the Ukraine on Friday morning at 2 to determine the group winner. A win or ties the US takes the group title. Win or lose their round of 16 game will be on June 10th.

Must get a result against Ukraine. The winner of the group probably gets Mali or Hungary(Worst Qualified 3rd place for Groups C/D/E). Runner-up gets either Portugal or Colombia(2nd Place Group C.

Have the clippers changed sports? Ukraine has been flopping all night and ref have bought it. Damn wasted a penalty kick opportunity.

oh well rest up and get ready for knock out round. Team looked as if they were just not into the game. Frustrated on the flopping and it got into their heads.

Here's hoping that Senegal can pound Qatar and Portugal can get a win against Colombia. Much rather get Senegal than Colombia in R16.

US was very sloppy and didn't play with much of a sense of urgency. Last night was a definite teaching lesson

I haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Was it complacency or were we outclassed?

I say a little of both. We even missed a penalty kick. Ukraine took the play to us all night. Played very physical with us and we did not play smart. Thought we were going to run out of players due to all the yellow cards for just grabbing guys and pulling them to the ground. When we did respond correctly they flopped and the ref bought it.

Wonder how FS1 will handle the knockout rounds of the U20 world cup and the Women's world cup group play at the same time?

I don't think it will be much of am issue. These u20 games have been coming on late at night. Most of the world cup won't start at those times

I'm not. FOX is serious about using this as a trial run for 2018.

RE: U20 World Cup
The U20 team has to be the worst team in the world at penalty kicks. Four pathetic penalty kicks in the shootout and a equally pathetic attempt in pool play.

Wow way to talk trash about 17/18 year old kids. Let's see you go out there after playing 120+mins and kick a penalty with all the pressure.

One guy TWICE played a game of patticake with the ball just pusyfooting around and kicked it directly at the GK. One kicked it off the post with a wide open net and another missed the goal all together sending it way off target no where near the goal.
