Maybe because the team he coached
lost 63-17.

He was not the coach for that game.

He coaches Uconn, and Uconn lost 63-17. Perhaps I should have said maybe because the team he coaches lost 63-17.

RE: UCONN-UCF rivalry
I've come full circle on this. At first I thought how contrived, but after seeing Diaco's presser I have to agree with him. UConn doesn't need UCF's permission to declare us their rival, that's for them to decide. I'm flattered that Diaco thinks we are the top program in the conference, and that is why he targeted this game for a trophy game. UConn is a first class flagship institution, and we could have much worse "rivals." Don't get me wrong I still enjoy the games our other rivals which I personally believe consist of (USF, ECU, UH, and Tulsa), each for different reasons.

Man, this whole "fake rivalry trophy" thing got play all over ESPN yesterday.03-lmfao I hope UConn shows up in the game because it could be a PR disaster if they get owned.
