I would think his dismissal is more likely with him reinstating than if he had held on to his decision.

Will the BOT keep him as President now that he botched the whole process costing the University $11 million plus?

He is toast, regardless. He was gone without reversing this decision, he is definitely gone after reversing this decision. Only question is it before the end of this year or next year.

Enjoy today guys.

They'll be plenty of time to see how this shakes out for Watts (he's toast), your coaches, your schedule, the relationship with the UAT BOT, issues of an OCS, recruiting, or the timelime of returning to FBS. All good questions. But that can wait till tomorrow

He'll be gone sooner than later.

As an ETSU alum and current UAB student, I can say Dr. Watts did not seem too enthused to be sharing the news today. A little excitement would have been nice. I watched Dr. Nolan speak about the return of football at ETSU. He genuinely cared about the return of football and what it meant to the community.

One would think Dr. Watts would have had a little excitement in his voice today.

Just my two cents!

Go UAB!

There was more enthusiasm at the Bataan death march than Watts showed today

If anyone has it, please post a link to RayRay's entire presser. The university link does not show the Q and A.

Full presser, with Q&A:

http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/62987289

This should be a case study on horrible press conferences for PR professionals and students for years to come.

I totally agree.

I'm not a Toastmaster alum but that entire act of walking back and forth from the podium would make Dale Carnegie puke.

Thanks GN for the link. I wanted to see it for myself (the Q&A). Yes, it was as bad as I heard.

It would have helped if he gave a damn. Enthusiasm would have helped him through it. He couldn't get out of the room fast enough.

I have never seen anything like it.

There were points in the prepared remarks where he seemed too choked with rage to even pronounce the words.

He did that in his first press conference as well. Don't know why he thinks that's a good idea, makes him look like an idiot.

I have a feeling his blood pressure was absolutely through the roof. He sure looked it.

I wonder if the man has ever admitted to a mistake?

Watched it a second time. Yep, Watts is still an idiot. Was Wes Smith thanking Clay Ryan sincerely or was that an inside shot at the little punk?
