Show me a fan base that doesn't have a love-hate or even a hate-hate relationship with the main columnist in the area.

Because for a couple decades he's been intellectually lazy, churning out crap columns using pop culture references as filler and playing to the lowest common denominator.

Then something snapped and he awoke. There's a sharpness to both the writing itself and the reporting behind it that were rarely there before. And he's been pretty consistently strong on the UAB issue since December 2nd.

Some people pass 50 and rot, a few grow up. Kevin Scarbinsky is proof that it's never too late to be the man/woman you always wanted to be.

Jon Soloman responded in defense of Kevin on Twitter after WJOX's Ryan Brown complained about the amount of questions Kevin asked.
