I was torn between Cal and Stanford mainly because of their radical views. I ended up choosing Cal. Being the college of Aaron Rodgers didn't help and Stanford had the "Vow Boys" which were an awesome team. I do like Cal's Wonder Teams of the 1920's.

I forgot how much I enjoy 1920-1930's West Coast football. You have Cal with their Wonder Teams and Brick Muller (responsible for keeping the Big Ten out of the Rose Bowl until 1946 after a beat down of Ohio State), Stanford with Pop Warner, Vow Boys, and Ernie Nevers, USC with Howard Jones (extremely underrated coach) and his Thundering Herd of linemen and tradition starting running backs, and toss in the rest. Even little St. Mary's was a powerhouse.

I don't hate UCLA, but I think the school's basketball boosters and fans have unreasonable expectations.

Southern cal. Hands down. SEC level crooked but still a media darling
