Phoenix Low

Policing is getting harder and harder for the police to do. With thugs like this interrupting arrests, there will be a bad ending and who will get the blame? The police of course.

Quote:Police in Melbourne said one of their officers was attacked by a crowd as he tried to make an arrest Saturday.

The officer approached Phoenix Low, 22, about an ordinance violation on New Haven Avenue, and Low became combative, police said.

The officer tried to arrest Low, at which point he resisted and attempted to run, according to police.

Police said as the officer tried to place Low in handcuffs, “a crowd surrounded the officer and began to interfere with attempts to arrest Low by yelling, striking and pulling at the officer and the prisoner.”

The officer use “less-lethal force” on the crowd.

Low was able to break free and run away before being captured again, police said.

Low was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting with violence, resisting without violence and open container of alcohol.

According to police, this is the second time that a crowd has tried to interfere with an arrest in the past two weeks.

Say what? Are you saying police deserve to be shot and killed?

Read what he wrote, and respond to that. Don't respond to what you wish he'd say.

Take a hard look at court fines across the country being used to fund municipal operations. You think these things might be a conflict of interest? If police are looking out for only their own self interest. Then what do you expect to start happening?

I expect an angry populace to engage appropriately with their elected officials to remove any semblance of impropriety from local law enforcement.

But I do not expect extrajudicial murders of police officers in their cruisers.

Apparently to you I am being unrealistic?
