The first of the #FreeUAB Friday Lunch Meetup series is today starting at 1pm at Full Moon BBQ, Southside Bham location, 525 5th Ave South.

This is being advertised on Twitter.

It is a way for UAB folks to catch up during the Summer months & also to give back to businesses that have supported UAB Athletics. Cone join if you can. Wear your green!

I hope the next one is publicized a little more in advance.

It was originally announced at least a week ago, I think that's ample notice.

I hope to make next week. I usually can lunch whenever and however long I need but lots of people went on vacation at the end of this week due to the long weekend. Hopefully I'll be there next Friday.

Searched back two weeks and didn't find anything.

I didn't see it on BT but did see it on Twitter.

It kind of got invented this past Wednesday in a twitter discussion talking about BBQ. The joint was packed. We will plan the next one (maybe in a couple weeks) with better announcements.
