Yesterday was the first meeting between Filler and Watts since Dec 2.

Filler still calling for people to contact folks, he sounds optimistic but obviously it's not a done deal.

Filler is a great guy and doing great things for UAB and Birmingham but it's obvious why Justin Craft is the public face of the Football Foundation. Not slighting Jimmy because I suck at public speaking, too.

Filler talked to Clark yesterday and Clark would be willing to sit out coaching another season if necessary and stay at UAB if the announcement next week is UAB is bringing football back.

"My good friend" Bill Clark will hit the ground running as soon as we get the word it's back.

Filler did not clarify what the money amount actually is.
