We Owe Andy Schwarz a Debt of Graditude
I think that we all owe Andy Schwarz dinner. Not only does he continue to battle the evil ones (see his two recent articles on ViceSports.com and Sportsgeekonomics.com), but had he not published his initial articles exposing the errors, omissions, and bad assumptions of the Carr report right after Watts used it as an excuse to cut football, we would have had little ammunition to fight with early on. There may have never been an Athletic Task Force. All of us thought the Carr report was bogus, but we didn't have the economic knowledge of college sports to prove it. Andy provided the ammunition we used to fire the early shots of this war which had Watts running for the cover of the Task Force..

I'll spring for his first overpriced watered down Coke at our home opener at Clark Field at Bartow-McCallum Stadium.

Are you sure? By then inflation will dictate that Coke be $21.50.
