Bleacher Report: Clemson-Louisville emerging Football Rivalry
They did a Top 10 and this came out as #4...#1 was Nebraska-Wisconsin...the First Game Louisville was without Michael Dyer and DeVante Parker and for Clemson DeShawn Watson was knocked out of the game Midway into the 2nd Quarter...also from a Louisville Fan Point of View Petrino went "Pete Carroll" on the goalline in that game final seconds:
Louisville’s placement in the ACC Atlantic, where it landed after moving from the Big East in 2014, makes the division even more top-heavy than it already was.
The Atlantic is home to Florida State and Clemson, who have combined to win the last four ACC titles. Adding Louisville to the mix gives the division three schools that had double-digit-win seasons all but once since 2012 (the Cardinals in 2014).
Louisville-Clemson has some extra oomph because both are up-and-coming teams that are trying to knock off the established king of the mountain, Florida State. The Cardinals and Tigers will have to battle each other first to determine who will challenge the Seminoles.
The two teams have met only once in history—last season, when Clemson eked out a 23-17 victory.

You don't say?
Is Clemson-Louisville more of an emerging rivalry than Florida State-Louisville? That was a pretty rivalry-worthy game last year. I think both can and probably will be good matchups for the long-term. It took FSU-Clemson a decade-plus to really get going once FSU joined the ACC, fwiw, but Clemson also wasn't the Clemson they are today.

While watching the game, I felt as if they had always been a conference rival. It was kinda strange since it was the first meeting. The Atlantic division is pretty stacked with Louisville, Clemson and FSU. Any divisional realignment needs to keep these 3 together, IMO.
