Lots of stuff going on at TXST but I didn't think all of you would want to read the whole nine yards and it's too much to post. I'm just frustrated by the lack of funding for the baseball/softball locker room facility. It was 8 mil, now it's over 10.5

I did post this in The Cat's Lair (where these type things normally should go.)

The Clinic for Autism Research Evaluation & Support (CARES) at TXST received a grant for the RIPT Project: Responsive Interaction Parent Training.

It's a study to test a parent training program for parents of children with autism, to see if it helps parents learn some ways to support their children's language & communication skills - at not cost.

Not the school, per se, but this is about to happen to the main road in (Aquarena Springs Dr.) There will be an exit for the stadium. That pic shows BCS pre-2011 construction of the NEZ.

UL is in the finishing stages of the new quad area. It's really looking great. The new student union opened up this semester. I think there are a few more touches to put on it. I believe the 2 oldest and most beat up buildings on campus are going to be tended to next. And this is dealing win athletics, but the new athletic performance center is going up really quick.

at uta the new baseball and softball facility upgrades are finished and a group over in the aerospace engineering department is working on something for the mars landing project. the school also announced that they have opened an office in california to recruit techies. 5000 grads this semester..including 1400 masters and 100 phd's.

1) Shooting Sports Education Center: Under construction right now. It's going to be the only one of its kind on a college campus and teach proper rifle and archery skill and maintenance. Built for our national champion archery team. Shooting Sports at Georgia Southern

2) New Health Services: Also under construction right now. It's going to be a two-story health complex that will even have the capacity to perform minor surgeries.

3) Military Sciences Academy: Scheduled to be completed Summer 2016. It will house the military sciences academy of GS and also serve as a multi-purpose classroom building.

4) Engineering College expansion: Money has just been allocated to fund a $33 Million expansion project to building another building for Engineering and other departments. Most likely going to replace the Forest Drive Building.

Another great thing about this facility is that it will include students from the College of Public Health and College of Nursing as well as interns from the Medical College in nearby Augusta practicing their skills in a clinical setting with members of the public. The shooting sports facility will also be open for public membership.
