I'd be perfectly fine with Southern Miss getting in. They were in the same boat as us coming into this year

Just researched current CUSA rankings and format.

Luckily for them CUSA dropped the pods. They have a top 100 opponent in UAB then if they win FAU basically at home. Win that and they likely get FAU again. Then if they win out they will likely get Rice.

They are in prime position to raise their RPI as long as they win.

Are CUSA,MAC,Mountain West and Sunbelt one bid NCAA regional tournament invites? I expect the AAC to get four NCAA regional baseball invites.. Houston,East Carolina,Tulane and South Florida in that order.

CUSA is a solid 3 bid league. Rice, FAU, and USM.

USM on the bubble with a great chance to play themselves in or out.

USM has killed it last month or so. They deserve a bid

They are riding a 13 game win streak, yup, that's killing it. Now have 35 wins on the season. 0-2 in the tourney and yeah they are at mercy of the committee, 1 win or more, their in.

1 Houston
2 USF
3 ECU
3 Tulane

but, that could change with tournament performances. We can play ourselves out of hosting. ECU and Tulane could play themselves onto the bubble. USF is pretty safe, and all that could really change is if they will be a 2 or a 3.

ECU is in.
Tulane is probably in, but a win or two wouldn't hurt.
If USF goes 2 and BBQ they are squarely on the bubble. A wIn and they're in

USF has been ahead of ECU all year, and nothing has changed. Better RPI, better SOS (USF has an elite SOS of 11, actually), better top 50 wins, I don't see any merit in your argument. Being a homer and saying "ECU is in" won't just magically make it so.

I agree that ECU is in right now as a 3, but go 0-2 and you're probably the one that's in trouble, not USF.

Dude it isn't just RPI and SOS. ECU finished ahead of USF in the AAC and has 36 wins to USF's 32 and ECU has better road record and record for the final month.

Dude, I didn't say it was just RPI -- though, conveniently they actually have something that factors everything you mentioned down to one number -- it's called the RPI, and USF's is better.

I wonder how many more wins USF would have if they played a more comparable schedule to ECU's, and not one of the toughest schedules in the country like they did. Probably enough to make up that difference of 4 that separate USF and ECU. See: Ole' Miss, #1 SOS. They only won 30 games, are only 5 games above .500, but will be in the tournament.

USF also has more top 50 wins, granted, it's only 1 more. They also beat ECU 2 of 3.

This is kind of turning into me having to defend USF in spite of ECU, and that isn't the case. I want all of you to make it. I just like USF's resume better, and I'll leave it at that.

D1Baseball: http://www.d1baseball.com/analysis/field...ay-may-19/

Baseball America: http://www.baseballamerica.com/college/p...64-may-19/

Both have ECU as #2 seeds and USF as #3 seeds. This could suggest that, at this moment ECU is in better shape.

Oh no, I was just throwing more fuel and the fire that seemed to be raging over ECU and USF baseball worthy-ness.

The more teams in the better. Roll Wave! 04-rock

They are currently 46 in RPI and faces UAB who is in the 80s. Granted a win would be a small bump but they better hope FAU beats ODU so they don't have to play a team in the 100s in RPI. It'll be interesting to watch.
