I claim Gen X but I'm a borderline X-Millennial.

I saw that article. Presents a problem.....

I know I mentioned this in the past, but it's worth repeating.....my nephew has a marine scholly at ole miss (yeah, I know..........but that's how his balls hang.......he calls me "Boss")

my biggest regret was not entering the military....I wanted to go AF, but back in my day, being 6-3 with severe myopia was an issue if one wanted to be a pilot.....man I wanted to fly

Bad luck there, too bad. I assume you were wanting to fly a fighter jet? That would be seriously cool.

hell yeah!.....speed and combat is not an issue for me......being tall and blind sometimes has disadvantages....

you should see me drive at night now 03-wink

Checked it out for kicks and giggles, pilots have to be 6'4" or under. Not sure if it's always been that way though.

and you can wear corrective lenses now too......they didn't have contacts worth a shite back in my day pal (of course, I still slept in those thick sobs)......this was 1983 hs senior year....back then, I was hyper book smart, wasn't afraid of speed, and had no fear of death....my gen had to register for the draft if the ruskies went bezerko.....

all I wanted to do was fly a plane as fast as possible and shoot something if I too.....it's scary how much pain a 6-3, 165 lbr can generate when properly motivated.....

before I go to Costa (if I live long enough) the last thing I do in the states is go to ATL speedway for the full meal deal......

speed.....I crave it......valium was never my thing.....why do think I know my body and why I smoke weed today.....

let me put it to you like this......after Katrina, I was flying into MSY at 12 a.m. after a week long stint in Tijuana.....I made it from the parking garage when the gate lifted to my doorstep in 1 hr 4 mins.....do the math......granted it was an avalon, but 140 mph was cruisin' speed in the open.....

also realize I've flipped a couple of cars and shattered a few bones back in my college days....

death is only what one perceives as value......most people don't have the capacity to 'live'.....and that's just fine by me....

unique personalities are the most endearing quality in a person....

all the above is nothing more than opinion and a sharing.....

If you were high on weed, you only thought you were going 140 mph. I know…from experience. LOL

You were probably doing 20. Ha, ha.

I know better than to drive high....and yeah, you're right about how the perception of speed when high relative to actual.....
