LOL.

Come on man, not a single UCF fan said anyhting bad. This David guy is a constant rambler with no affiliation.

But, Cyber had to get his typical jab in......no post of his would be complete without it.

Cuban can atleast be civil at times.......Cyber has a permanent chip.

I'm waiting for UCF to lose at something so you can go into hiding for another 6 months. This thread has already been de-trashed. I suggest cooling it or hiding again. Or you could decide to post something intelligent. There's a first time for everything I suppose.

It did not start out as trashing, I think I was pretty complimentary on the Sundome change. It was not until cyber had to put his typical trash of UCF's stadium.

Facts are facts and 99% of the big east fans on this board just believe anything USF fans post because they really don't know anything about the school itself.

I would say the next time a big east fan comes to Tampa for a game, drive over to the campus, look around and get your own opinion, but make sure you are there during the day light.

Yes, you aren't trashing at all. Get over yourself. You might try and hide the smart ass remarks more than other knight fans, but they are just as present, as seen above. Unlike some of your fellow fans, you can make valid points. You seem incapable of doing that without adding in comments that veer it towards being trashed however.

I said nothing other than I expect USF to follow the UCONN or Louisville model for a stadium. Nowhere did I trash UCiF's stadium in my original post. I simply said that I expect USF to build a stadium with stadium chairs and other amenities. IF you consider that trashing your stadium then I would suggest you stop being so defensive.

I guess we are going to have to wait until we beat them again this Fall for guru to disappear (again) and for Knight Light to lose his well rehearsed smugness.

If we can continue this thread without smack....

Regarding USF officially giving thought to building an on campus stadium there was a mention in an article earlier this year that USF's administration is at least thinking about the possibility. I have also heard several times that it has been discussed but just not a real priority right now since RJS is a state of the art facility and we have so many other projects to finish.

Per the January 25, 2007 St Pete Times:

------------------------------------------
- Athletic director Doug Woolard is negotiating with the Tampa Sports Authority for a new lease agreement at Raymond James Stadium. A five-year renewal with a five-year option would leave open the possibility of USF opting out for an oncampus stadium in the next decade.

-----------------------------------------

Again, there are a whole of projects higher in the queu, but if USF can build it's Athletic Village and raise the ~$55-$60-million it needs through fundraising, IMO they will next look at the building their own stadium. Nonetheless, USF's negotiating stance with the often hard to deal with TampaSportsAuthority (aka The Glazers) shows that they are giving thought to an OCS.

cyber, I don't think anyone is arguing that USF could or would build an OCS, but it is the type of stadium. You said it yourself, that "if" USF could raise money for the athletic village. $55 to $65 million is a lot of money for any school to raise. UCF has raised just over $30MM for their football stadium, with $15 million of that in naming rights. While USF may be a big east team, the history of USF raising athletic money is not a storied one. To get a stadium like UL, USF would need well over $120MM today and that is if it could build on campus. I just don't see what the big deal is about starting with less than adding on. It most likely will be announced next week that UCF is adding on to its stadium soon. Now that could be 5,000 seats or most likely adding more luxury suites, either way, build it as you go is the common approach and there is nothing wrong with that. USF fans are spoiled with Raymond James, trust me, if and when USF builds something, it won't have the features that Ray Jay has.

USF will NOT be needing or building an OCS stadium in the next 5 years so its all pointless.
As shown in my first post there are OTHER facilities planned for the next 7 years.
I think that as USF's fan base increases that USF will have more leverage in getting better terms regarding RJS.
Right now USF pays $120,000 per game to play in RJS and doesnt have to pay maintenance etc. So financially its NOT a priority to build an OCS stadium that would be of lesser quality and less impressive for recruiting purposes.

If you're going to be a smart ass then it's "I'm" not "Im" since "I'm" is short for "I am".
