RE: Another Downtown development
Looks like things are moving on One Beale.

Quote:Carlisle LLC this month completed two tasks in preparation for the $225 million riverfront project called One Beale.

The company last week vacated its river-view office building at 263 Wagner, which will soon be demolished to make room for the apartment tower called The Landing Residences at One Beale.

And this month Carlisle LLC sold for $6.74 million its 0.8-of-an-acre parking lot at Beale and Front plus two historic Ellis Machine Shops buildings to 33 Beale Street Hotel Company.

It is 38104

lol ............ strangely by Zip Codes it's surrounded by 38126 & 38106 on 3 of 4 sides.

And even odder for it to stay inside 38104 Zip Code to get to the Cemetary you have to drive across a very very old bridge that spans Railroad tracks.

And far into Midtown.

The whole map barely has the western edge of midtown on it. Beale stopped short of current medical center.

8 months is a long time brother.

Also, its still gonna take more than 55 million to finish this. As someone who has been through dozens of hotel renovations it will cost minimum 25 million to finish the hotel assuming they dont have structural issues.....which living in this building, they do.

8 months isn't very long at all in the world of big time real estate development. Feel free to elaborate at this time. Do you still have huge doubts?

Dude, I deal with multi-million dollar hotel acquisitions for a living.8 months isnt a long time if you are still looking for funding. Securing financing can take awhile. However, 8 months is an extremely long time if you are already telling the public that you have the funding. And 55 million wont finish this project as currently constructed.

1. When did they tell the public that they already had the funding?
2. They were waiting on the city council to approve the MATA transfer. That didn't happen until December.
3. Are you saying that the Central Station building has structural issues?
4. Do you still have huge doubts that the project won't be completed?
5. The development encompasses roughly $25 million for apartments, $20 million for a hotel, $5 million for the movie theater, and $2 million for a restaurant.

Still no response?

Meanwhile, it sounds like the hotel is going to be pretty cool...

Still no response, but the hotel will be open soon. And it sounds pretty awesome.
