I feel good about what this team has done. But, we need to address starting pitchers. Maybe Scalf has something up his sleeve. I just know, for the first time, I am sitting behind the plate in the first inning of every game anxious for the bullpen to come in.
That said, I do think we will make the regionals. But, with having only three seniors and knowing what we have coming in, we are one season away from being true Omahawks. We do need to keep Gesell, and a plus would be if the kid from West Columbus does not go pro. He is being tauted as the best and fastest player in the state. He is all about UNCW baseball. But that doesn't mean money will not take him away.

When do we find out?

He has to be drafted first. And then see what they offer him. Good chance he's gone.
We also have a 6' 5" JUCO from the same school that Shields and McDowell came from. Would have be drafted already had he not been injured. so, we may only have him one year.
